Pat Clarke

Originally from Western Sydney, it was at a mature age that Pat Clarke decided to embark on a second career as a writer. She had always loved stories, and as a child had enjoyed the works of Enid Blyton, as well as telling a few originals of her own. Pat has since published four books. Howie the Yowie follows her previous titles A One-Eyed Chook Called Sheila, The Magic Forest of Goonoo and The Flying Lesson. Now living in Dubbo, Pat nds inspiration in the beautiful Goonoo State Forest, near where her family have a property called ‘Spring Creek’. She hopes her writing will create a love and respect for the Australian wildlife and ora.
