Author Alec Trost

Born to Russian parents in Northern China, Alec Trost emigrated to Australia, graduated in electrical engineering and was fortunate enough to travel on work assignments around Australia and overseas often seeing firsthand how human activities damaged or destroyed wildlife habitats. After visiting SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and hearing the stories about the resident dugongs, Pig and Wuru, he wrote The Bravest Dugong in a hope of making children and adults more aware of the plight of these beautiful, lovable but widely unknown creatures.
