Author and Illustrator Alexia Jankowski
Alexia is an environmental scientist and artist, living on Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean, working to protect threatened species from extinction.
With a deep passion for the natural world, child-like wonder and appreciation for all living things, Alexia spends her time exploring wild places and searching for creatures both above and below the sea. Alexia has been drawing and illustrating since she was a little girl and continues to express her love of nature through visual art and poetry. It was therefore a natural progression for her to turn a real-life underwater experience into a magical, colourful, rhyming tale, and her first authored and illustrated children’s book: The Octopus’s Trick.
