Illustrator David Clare
David Clare has worked for more than thirty years as a commercial graphic artist, and has been mastering oil painting and his love of all things artistic for even longer.
Creating the images for Superstar Grandmas has been his first experience of working as an illustrator (as well as his first time working with acrylics for a while), and he is now busy breathing life into the faces for the follow-up book, Mega-Rad Grandads.
After being a stay-at-home father during the early years with his three children, he knows a lot about how art can inspire and delight little people and uses this in his method as an illustrator.
David lives in Brisbane, where he still works as a graphic artist, as well as teaching art classes in the evenings and enjoying a love of music and sports in any spare time he gets.
