Dr Audrey Shen (Author/Illustrator) is a small animal and wildlife veterinarian. She has been working as a Veterinarian in Australia for over 18 years.
Audrey has featured on the Australian TV kid’s show “Get Clever” and is one of the Veterinarians featured on the popular “Bondi Vet” TV series featured on Channel 9, Nat Geo and multiple TV networks worldwide. Dr Audrey is a huge wildlife advocate and between her mobile vet work, runs
a dedicated wildlife hospital near Canberra, treating kangaroos, wombats, possums and many other Australian native animals. She was heavily involved in the rescue and rehabilitation of many kangaroos during the devastating 2019-2020 Black Summer Bushfires across Australia, and assisted throughout the flood disaster in QLD and NSW in 2022. As much as Audrey loves small animals and wildlife, she has a big love for education. She shares her passion for Veterinary Medicine with many kids, teaching at her Future Vet Kids Camp, a school holiday program designed for aspiring Veterinarians. The camp keeps her busy during the school holidays and runs across 3 states in Australia. Animals and kids are a huge part of her life and she hopes to share the love for her job through her children’s books series.
