Author and Illustrator Elizabeth Thomas
Elizabeth has travelled with her husband, courtesy of the Royal Air Force, for most of her married life, living in West Berlin and Cyprus for six years during this time.
Those years gave her a deep respect for other cultures and differing geographical resources. For part of this time she worked as a school secretary and painted on commission for extra income.
Elizabeth owned and worked a small business as a Stained Glass Artist, designing and constructing windows for churches, private residences and Australian furniture companies. She taught classes in glass art in the local community.
Elizabeth loves nature and animals, especially dogs and sheep! Loves to spin, dye and felt fleece. When children visit her hobby farm, she gets enormous pleasure from telling them about the history and diversity of Australian wool, as one of Australia's greatest renewable resources.
