Author Gaille Walton
Gaille Walton is a first-time author. She is an educator, working with children and adults. She travels extensively and has worked in her homeland of Australia, and Vietnam and America. She has written plays and poems for classroom use and contributed to articles on health and conservation. In 2015, she completed a Children’s Literature Fellowship at Stonybrook University, New York. Gaille has a passion for literature, music and environmental awareness. She was inspired when observing the threatened Powerful Owl in bushland behind her Sydney school. She has been involved with bird groups since childhood. Due to recent natural disasters, Gaille feels an urgency to use her books as a springboard for young children to learn.
