Author James Nott
James grew up on a family property near the small community of Merrygoen in central NSW. A typical village with all the essentials one could possibly want. A pub, a general store, church and a wheat silo to name a few! Growing up in the bush without television and other electronic distraction meant creating your own fun. You could be a cowboy, a spaceman or whatever you wanted to be. School essays became a highlight and a welcome opportunity for James to release his imagination.
Looking to the future, James says, ‘We as people have to be more careful in the way we treat our environment. As with most things today, the Great Barrier Reef faces many devastating threats. The adults of tomorrow are our future and perhaps for now, The Incredible Oik the Crab is just the answer we need.’
